The Road of Life
Walking along the winding road of life I see,
I am not alone for you are always here with me.
Stumbling over a tiny little rock you say,
“Keep your focus straight ahead, my child do not stray.”
Further on down as temptation comes my way;
“Trust in me, for I am the only way.
Hold on to my promises, don’t try to understand;
For I am your heavenly father, your very best friend.”
Turning just a moment to view the world of sin,
The spirit of fear begins to call and I doubt myself within.
Falling to my knees, I cry out to you;
For the rock is now a mountain, “Father God, I need you!”
With tears in your eyes and a smile on your face, you gently respond,
“Take hold of my hand, dear child, and receive my loving grace.”
